Terms of use and sale
Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Version …
1. Purpose and publisher
These terms govern the use of the Global Class Room platform, published by [Company name], a sole proprietorship ("micro-entreprise") operated by [Operator's full name], SIRET [SIRET], with registered address at [Address] (the "Platform").
2. Roles
- Student: a person who books and pays for lessons.
- Teacher: an independent teacher who offers lessons and sets their own price and availability.
- The Platform: an intermediary that connects teachers and students. It collects payment on behalf of independent teachers. It is not the teachers' employer and does not deliver the lessons itself.
Each teacher is solely responsible for their own tax and social obligations (declaring income, contributions, VAT where applicable).
3. Account
- Sign-up is reserved to people aged 18 or over, or to minors with the consent of their legal guardian.
- Information provided must be accurate. Accounts are personal; credentials must not be shared.
4. Booking and payment
- The lesson is paid for at the time of booking.
- The chosen slot is held for 15 minutes. If payment is not completed within this time, the booking expires and the slot is released.
- The lesson is only confirmed once payment is validated. The classroom is only accessible for a paid lesson.
- Prices are shown in euros (€), inclusive of any applicable taxes.
5. Price and commission
The price is freely set by the teacher. The Platform deducts a commission from the teacher's share, currently 20 % of the lesson price. The price and commission are fixed at the time of booking: any later change does not apply to lessons already booked.
6. Cancellation, refund and no-show
- The student cancels more than 24 hours before the lesson starts: 100% refund.
- The student cancels 24 hours or less before the start: no refund; the teacher is paid.
- The teacher cancels, or the Platform cancels: 100% refund to the student.
- Teacher no-show (not connected within 15 minutes of the start time): 100% refund to the student.
- Student no-show while the teacher is present: the teacher is paid, no refund.
- Nobody shows up: the lesson is reviewed by an administrator, who decides.
- Either the student or the teacher can report an issue from the start of the lesson up to 48 hours after it ends. An administrator makes the final decision (refund to the student, payment to the teacher, or no action).
- No cancellation is possible once the lesson has started.
See also the cancellation and refund policy.
7. Payouts to teachers
- Earnings are paid out weekly, after a 48-hour holding period following the end of the lesson.
- A lesson subject to an open report or review is only paid out after the administrator's decision.
- Payout is made by manual bank transfer or, later, via Stripe.
- A refund issued after payout is deducted from the next payout.
8. Teacher conditions
By submitting their profile, the teacher agrees to:
- operate as an independent professional and comply with their tax and social obligations;
- provide accurate information on their profile, qualifications and experience;
- provide the tax information required under the EU DAC7 directive (2021/514);
- honor confirmed lessons and be present on time;
- accept that the Platform collects payments on their behalf and deducts the commission set out in article 5.
The profile is reviewed by an administrator before being published.
9. Prohibited behaviour
- Sharing contact details (email, phone, messaging apps, links) to bypass the Platform or pay outside of it.
- Abusive or discriminatory remarks, harassment, or unlawful content.
- Impersonation or fake reviews.
10. Suspension
The Platform may suspend or close an account in case of a breach of these terms, after notifying the user except in urgent cases. Paid lessons affected are handled under article 6.
11. Liability
The Platform provides a matching, payment and online classroom service. It makes reasonable efforts to ensure availability but does not guarantee the complete absence of interruptions. Teaching content is the sole responsibility of the teacher.
12. Governing law and mediation
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, consumer users may use the free consumer mediation service: [Consumer mediator]. Failing an amicable agreement, French courts have jurisdiction.
